Big Chief Tire acquires All

Big Chief Tire, a family-owned tire and auto repair business, has purchased All-Starz Tire & Automotive in Orange Park, which will open under the Big Chief name on May 15.

With this acquisition, Big Chief adds a fifth location to its network of Jacksonville-area shops.

According to a release, making the transition to another locally owned business was essential to former owners David and Cindy Brown, who founded All Starz in 2011.

The shift to Big Chief Tire — a company that has served Jacksonville for more than 60 years — was a natural choice, they said.

"Jacksonville is full of corporate tire shop chains, but as a family-owned business, we feel we can serve the customer better. People are at the heart of who we are," said Reed Parman, Big Chief Tire president.

The Big Chief Tire team plans to expand on All-Starz's specialty truck services to offer preventative maintenance and auto repair for all vehicle makes and models. Like all Big Chief shops, the Orange Park location will provide services such as tires, brakes, wheel alignments, oil changes, front-end work, suspension work, and lift and leveling kits.

Many former All-Starz employees will stay on staff, the release said.

This acquisition kicks off a period of growth that is expected to continue for Big Chief Tire.

"We want to build something our dad would be proud of and honor his legacy," Parman said. "That's why it's so important to us to build our customer relationships through transparency, education and treating all our customers like family."

To celebrate the expansion to Orange Park, Big Chief Tire will host a free community grand opening event on May 19.
